Join us this School Holidays

7 July, 2026-12 July, 2026

These school holidays, we’re excited to invite young artists to help design the front cover and pages of our Drawing Us Together 2026 community storybook!

Be inspired by 4 powerful stories from Indigenous student authors, woven together under this year’s NAIDOC theme: ‘50 Years of Deadly.’ Together we’ll celebrate connection, culture and creativity through art and storytelling.

Children can grab an entry form, get designing on the A3 landscape piece of paper, and submit their masterpiece to go in the draw to be featured in the book — whether that’s on the front cover or across four internal pages, giving multiple young creatives the chance to have their work drawn and published.

All submissions over the school holidays will be considered, before six finalists are chosen. These finalist artworks will then be voted on by the public, authors and retailers from July 12 - 28, to determine whos designs will be published. All finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony in August (date to be confirmed), and the winners will receive a copy of the book.

🖌️ Celebrate culture. Bring our stories to life. Create something special.
